Run Forrest Run

The kids decided that they wanted to run in the annual 24th of July 5K run. It is about 3.2 miles. They then called grandma and talked her into it. She told them to meet her at the park at 6:40 a.m. to register. I got the boys up to go hoping the Maycee would not awaken but soon after we were up, here she came bouncing in in her shorts with her shoes. So we headed up to register. This is them before the race started. There was 7 kids in the 0-13 age group and and 2 in my moms group. Here they are at the starting line, I wasn't quite sure about it. I was still trying to talk Maycee out of it.
This is what Big George was up to while they were out there running the race. He had to get some pancakes into him.
This Is Austyn after finishing the race. He finished 4th in hisw group. I deleted Landyn but I went home to get Clint and braysyn and when we got back up there Landyn had already came in. He finished First in his group.

This is my mom/grandma coming in. She made er. Wait a minute where is Maycee, oh one of the runners said that she had to stop and smell the sunflowers and try to pick a few.

Rocket Launch

The boys had their annual scout homeade rocket launch on Friday. This is Austyn's after taking off.
Landyn is getting ready for his to be launched. He is concentrating really hard.
Austyn is pulling the string to set his off.
Landyn and Austyn's went the farthest, they blew clear across the street from the elementary.
Austyn also had not received his arrow points yet, so he got one gold and two silver. He needs to get working on his bear now.

To Funny

I don't know how well you can see this but yesterday we went to Cedar and when we came home there was this invoice on our door from the bug guy, for Clint Brinkerhoff for 50.00. We were out in the garden and Landyn came sondering out with this worried expression on his face and said "Dad, I saw this note on the front door that says pest control 50.00. we said yea , the bug guy came and sprayed for bugs. He said whoosh, I thought that you had got a ticket for taking care of pests out in the yard. we about died laughing. either it was that or maybe he th0ught it was for him because him and my dad go over to his field every night and eliminate pests from eating his alfalfa,( jack rabbits) and he had just told us that he had shot 7 and grandpa one.

Otter Creek

We went on a little vacation to otter Creek with Kami and mike. They bought a new boat and we got to go try it out. The kids had a ton of fun too. We took our trailers and stayed 2 nights at the campground there. here are just some random pictures that you can look at.
