Well the results are in and I am in the hole about $62.00. Yes that's right, I told my mom when she went that they can bid on some cakes but they have to stop when it starts getting serious. So they start the bidding and Landyn decides that he wants the cake that I made him so he and another kid start going back and forth with the bidding, before they know it Landyn is taking his own cake home (you said it there Tiff) I should have just talked them into staying home and making the cake for them and doing my own auction! So my mom tells me that before to long Austyn looks up at her with that look in his eye, he has spotted a volcano cake that he wants, she lets him bid a few times and when someone outbids him he looks up at her all sad and she says "okay go ahead" they know they can work her like no other she is such a softie, if mom says no just call Grandma I guess. So we are home with 2 cakes and $62.00 poorer. All is said they had fun and I got to see the pictures when I got home tonight. This is the cake that I made for Landyn that he brought back home. It is supposed to be a horse Head.
This is the cake I made for Austyn. A Bryce Valley Jersey with his number on it.

Cake Auction
Does anyone else hate the cake auctions they have for scouts? maybe no one else has them. I guess I don't hate them they are kind of fun for the boys but I have two boys in scouts this year and that means two cakes, on top of the fact that it is a half day of school today and I have Three parent teacher conferences to attend plus two "Fun" cakes to make and i have to be to work tonight. Luckily I talked my mom into going to the auction with my boys. They love to bid on the cakes. I usually let them go to about 30 dollars before I cut them off. Anyway if I get the cakes done I will put some pictures on here to show you what they will be auctioning.

"The" Egg Roll
This is my mom, she was the official score keeper this year.
Waiting for the eggs to arrive.
This is Landyn and Austyn watching Braysyn roll his egg. we go by age and there is a winner in each age group. Maycee won in her group.
I tried to capture the moment as best I could. I forgot to get a picture when we were totally done to show all of the eggs. After the roll we sometimes have fights with the left over eggs. Anyway it was alot of fun and a good time was had by all.

Coloring Eggs
This is the kids and I coloring the eggs. It is a big tradition with our families to have a big easter egg roll, and when I say big I am not exaggerating. Each kid has about a dozen eggs each. When we are done it looks like world war three has been there with colored bombs. It's a good thing they are biodegradable.

Easterin'
This is what we call our annual Easter Camping trip. everyone that marries into the family thinks it is quite funny , the slang " are you going Easterin' this year. We bought a new trailer in October to take camping this year. We can't wait to try it out. We took it out to Dry Valley the other day and this is Clint and Mike trying to level things out. I don't know they look pretty suspicious to me. We go with all of my mom's side of the family so all her brothers and sisters and their kids. there are alot of people and 4 wheelers every year. It won't be the same without Grandma Chynoweth there this year. I think that we will have a hard time at first, especially my mom and her siblings. I promise to have lots of pictures and fun things to post when we get back home.

Little Things
I came across this quote the other day and thought that it was so true.
Take time to enjoy the Little things in life because Someday you'll look back and Realize They were the Big Things.
When I read this I thought about my kids. Sometimes it is easy to say,"I will in a minute". there are examples of this in my everyday life. To me my family is the most important thing in the world to me. It is so important to take time with them while they are still little and while they still want you to,because there will come a time when they will not need you so much and depend on you so much and to me this is going to be a very sad day. Maycee asked me several times yesterday if I would play catch with her outside, I was doing laundry so there was always an excuse. Today I will play catch with her. Today I will do some things that make both me and my kids happy. I want to be more aware of these little things in life that soon will be the big things. I invite my dad over to eat with us quite regular if my mom is not home, and after we will visit, the kids are running helter skelter it has been a long day, all I want is some peace for a few minutes, he can tell I am getting irritated, he looks over and says," These are the best years of your life, when your kids are little and they still need you, they won't be here forever so enjoy them while you can." I love this and it is so true.

New Addition
This is the new addition to our family. we have had them for a little while. When we gave our little dog away maycee was so sad. She had been wanting some birds for so long. Sheena's friend had these two that she didn't want anymore so we took them on. They haven't been to bad. But just as i thought it never took long for the fun to wear off and guess who is taking care of them now? you guessed it, yours truely. What next.

Priceless
I was making dinner for my friend that had her baby the other day. I was busy making rolls. Braysyn just wanted me so bad because he was so tired. I told him to set in his chair and watch me because I was just about done. Next thing I knew I looked over and there he was all asleep with that rotten thumb in his mouth. It was still so dang cute, I had to capture the moment. I love you Braysyn.
