pulling my hair out at 84718

How could this sweet little angel turn into this? (look below)
I don't know either but it happens.... all the time. I told clint that maybe she was allergic to my milk. I was kind of joking until we tried some formula and she was a much better baby. This morning when Clint left for work at 2:30 a.m. I decided to try my luck again.... not a good idea. I was up from then on with a screaming baby. we have tried the drops, candy cane which does help a little, and some other stuff. So I went and bought a can of formula and about had to take out a second mortgage, and I am in pain, extreme pain. But I am not willing to go to an allergy specialist to see what she is sensitive to that is in my diet so I guess we will go with formula. This does not completely solve the problem but she is 75 % better on the formula. Anyone have any amazing advice you could give to me? Anyone?

I wish I could help. I say go with what works... if she stops crying and you gain back your sanity - I'd say that's a winner!

I don't know what to tell you, other than change your diet. It must be something you're eating. Formula is expernsive but if it makes her happier I'd go with that. I can't imagine having a fussy baby. Cara hardly ever crys exept when I'm not holding her (major mommy's girl) and when she is teething then I'm nuts for the day.

Stef, I'm so sorry. I would say change something in your diet. If she is allergic to something try cutting out dairy in your food and also anything spicy. Try that for like a week and if no difference, I would say, go with the formula. I know breastfeeding is so much cheaper, I hope you figure something out that is less expensive than formula. Good luck! let me know what you do figure out!

Well from experience with this matter. Go with the formula and don't feel guilty I felt guilty for so long that stetson only got like two and a half months of breast feeding but we shouldn't feel that way. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If she feels better with the formula then go for it. It is to hard to try to change your diet when you don't know what s causing it. Go to the web site for the formula that you will use and sighn up and they will often times send you free formula. They did me every once in a while like three cans at a time. and after lookin into it a whole bunch the parent's brand of formula is every bit as good as the name brands. and it helps on the pocket book.

I wish I had some magical advice. Traykun was the opposite and never took a bottle, I nursed for 13 months until I became pregnant with Fuzzy and had to stop cold turkey. Fuzzy nursed for 6 months and he was a little piggy, I couldn't keep up with him so I had to stop. My friend Sabrina had to stop nursing her baby due to the same reason, he was much better on formula. Gosh, I can't imagine trying to figure out what it is that your are eating that is doing that. Don't feel bad, you are a great mom, you can only deal with the things that are in your control. I hope things work out okay.

I say you're a great Mom for trying to nurse, but if she is better on the formula go with it. Maybe try soy??

Go with the formula but check out couponclipper.com like I told you and see if they have some formula coupons. It might save some dough!

Crying babies are sooo HARD!!! Wears on your nerves SO fast! Obviously I didnt breast feed Jake or Porter but I did have fussy babies. One longer than the other. I changed formula a couple times. It is really expensive but when you find one that works go for it. I feed Jake Similac Sensitive and like Kyla said there is a cheaper brand that is like 15.00 instead of 25.00. Jakes doctor also recommended "Good Start" but he didnt do to well on it. Remember to that babies all go through being fussy for the first few months. Jake had acid reflux to and he would scream his head off after he ate. You can get medicine for that and it works pretty good. Dont feel guilty for using formula for heaven sakes. You are still an awesome mom whether you breast feed for not.

I wanna send you a Christmas card, what is your address?

Grace did the same thing and she had an embarrassing cat cry. We put her on acid reflux medicine, perscription stregnth Zantac,
and although she was still an ornery baby I could tell she wasn't in pain anymore. You should ask your doc. It does take 2-4 days to kick in

By the way, Grace did not have the usual acid reflux symtoms like lots of spit up etc... but she would make gagging sounds once in a while and that is a sign of reflux too, they just swallow it. You could watch and see if Miley has these symtoms.
